Allan Seckel 

When Mr. Carten and Mr. Gibbs first filed their lawsuit in Canada's Federal Court in January 2008, Allan Seckel was the Deputy Attorney General for British Columbia.  This means he ran the legal department for the Government of British Columbia that had been named as a Defendant in the lawsuit.

Allan Seckel was hired as Deputy Attorney General by British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell after the former Deputy Attorney General Gillian Wallace was shown to have directed her staff to commit perjury and other crimes.  Premier Gordon Campbell had his own secrets to hide because he had given his mistress a job as his Deputy Chief of Staff that ultimately earned her, a former bar maid, a salary of $150,000 per year.
